So, I don't know if it's really much of a secret.. But uh. I like to eat. Like it's great, ya know? 
I eat a ton! I can for sure put it away. But I also like to eat healthy so it can sometimes be kind of conflicting... until now! I found my newest addiction and they are healthy and yummy!
Maybe not in the massive quantities I eat them but one step at a time..

Energy Balls
 (in my defense I didn't come up with the name)

1 cup dry oatmeal
2/3 cup toasted coconut - it doesn't have to be toasted but I love the crunchiness you get if it is
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup ground flaxseed or wheat germ - I actually usually do both
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
(I usually add a few spoonfuls of chia seeds and some cinnamon too)

by the way.. in the pictures I doubled the recipe so that's why there is massive amounts

they kind of look like bird food.. haha but I promise they're good!!

K, now that you've got all that stuff.. stick it in a big bowl and have at it! Seriously. Just stir and form into little balls! Store them in the fridge and voila!

Sleep has been pretty scarce around these here parts. Ever since I moved out I don't get to bed before 1 or 2. 
Last semester when I lived at home, I was asleep by 11. Like. every. night. It was the best. 
Now, I am zombie central every day at school.

Like today for instance. 8 am classes aren't good for anybody lesbihonest... (Pitch Perfect anyone??)

It was so bad I could not focus in any of my classes. My eyes were twitching uncontrollably and I swear bricks were sitting on my eyelids.
Also, ya know that awkward moment when you are just staring off into space and when you finally realize you are staring at someone and they are staring back? Yeah that happened. Like 4 times. 
It was one of those ugly stares too. Like open mouth and all!
One time I even found a little drool pooled at the corner of my mouth. It didn't spill over, thank the heavens for that.. That coulda been really awkward.
I'm pretty sure people think differently of me since Friday.

After class, I sped home and jumped right in bed. Like, full on in bed. And I slept for a glorious 3 and a half hours. So, that was fun.

And there was my very successful Friday. Have a good weekend!!

The New Year

Well, we're 2 weeks in. Success so far! 

I have been thinking about this for a while and could not for the life of me decide what I wanted my January's Resolutions to be! (haha)

But, seriously. I thought and thought.. Finally I just gave up. Great, huh?
Then, I decided to have a theme for 2013 instead of resolutions.
Ready for it...
It's Improvement.

Haha cliche or what? In all seriousness though, 2012 was a year of a lot of personal growth for me and that's something I want to keep rolling with. 
I don't want to make any huge changes but just small improvements every single day. Little by little.
For instance...

~Having a better attitude. I don't always and I'm sorry for whoever has encountered me on those instances! It's something I want/need to work on.

~Being more grateful. A while ago in a post I mentioned how I was feeling really blessed. I want to work on recognizing that every day.

~I want to work on being more involved. I love my Instagram and Snapchat and I'm not giving them up if that's what you're thinking... That would be a New Year's Resolution fail to the max haha. I just want to make a conscious effort to really be present wherever I am.

~Being more faithful. Saying a prayer when I'm all tucked in my bed basically asleep isn't probably the best thing ever haha. Neither is finding the shortest scripture in the whole book and calling that good for the night ha. It's a work in progress, okay?

~I want to make more of an effort to serve other people. Do something every single day even if it's just little!

And... Last one. 

Getting out of my comfort zone here kids!
